Day 01: Ho Chi Minh Arrival

Upon arrival at Ho Chi Minh city (Well know as Saigon City) airport, after clearing custom Vietnam Great Tours guide will warmly welcome you and then transfer you to the hotel for check in.

Day 02: Ho Chi Minh City tour & Cu Chi tunnel

We start Vietnam and Cambodia Bike Tour at late morning around 9:00 AM. Depart from Saigon and drive through peaceful countryside to get Cu Chi. We then spend the next hours discovering the fascinating underground tunnels where the Viet Cong stayed and mount surprise attacks. Our guide will introduce you various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by B52 bombers. Cu Chi was really a former battlefield. Afterwards, we head back to Ho Chi Minh city.

You are scheduled today a special lunch for your taste of Saigon cuisines at a famous local restaurant in Saigon.

After lunch, take a half day city tour of Saigon highlights. This half day tour features the Notre Dame Cathedral church built between 1877 and 1883 and it is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture. Another example of French colonial architecture and also the country’s largest post office is the nearby Old Saigon Post Office. We then move on to visit the Reunification Palace one of the most important buildings in the city. Here on April 30th 1975 the ‘American War’ officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. After that, we continue our trip at War Remnants Museum  which is formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, a poignant display of the uselessness of war.

Day 03: HCMC – Cai Be – Vinh Long (Cycling distance: 20Km)

Pick up at hotel in Sai Gon, Vietnam and Cambodia Bike Tour start today by transfer to Cai Be, boat to see floating market, pop rice, rice paper, coconut candy making, keep going by boat to An Binh island, stop at local house for lunch, start to ride around An Binh island(Vinh Long) on the cement road through fruit garden, in the shade of trees, along canals, check in home stay on the island.

At night: cooking and chatting with family/Accommodation at Vinh Long: Home stay/local house.

Day 04: Vinh Long – Can Tho (Cycling distance: 60km)

After breakfast, Vietnam and Cambodia Bike Tour give you experience today by discover Mekong Delta by bike. Take a boat to Vinh Long, ride for 35Km along countryside road, to see rice field, farmer’s daily activities, stop for lunch at local restaurant in Tam Binh district, ride 25 Km to Can Tho, check in hotel.

Day 05: Can Tho – Rach Gia (Cycling distance:100km)

Early morning boat to Cai Rang floating market, after visiting floating market, ride to Vi Thanh, stop for lunch, keep riding to Rach Gia, check in hotel.

Day 06: After breakfast, start cruising 3vhours to Phu Quoc island.

Vietnam and Cambodia Bike Tour take a rest from biking to have relax on beach. Have breakfast at the hotel, a short transfer to the boat station and the 9:00 am high speed boat ride to Phu Quoc Island. Upon arrival transfer to hotel for check in, rest of day at your leisure.

Day 07 – 09: Phu Quoc Island Free & easy

Day 10: Phu Quoc Island flight to Siem Reap

Breakfast at your hotel then transfer to Phu Quoc airport for flight to Siem Reap.

Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to hotel for check in.

Day 11: Siem Reap-Angkor Complex (25km by bicycle)

Depart from the hotel on the main road and cycling through Angkor pass check point. Cycling through the shady road with a little pumping because of the a few pot-holes. There you will begin to see Kravan temple, Banteay Kdei, and stop at the famous Ta Phrom, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. Visit Ta Phrom (45 minutes-1 hour). It was built in 12th century by the famous King Jayavarvan VII indicated to his mother. While clearing back the forest archaeologists decided to leave the vegetation of Ta Phrom in place to serve as a reminder of how the original discoverers found it and the other Angkor temples.

Many of the trees have grown around and through the remains and soar high above the temples. Continue the cycling through small circuit passing Ta Keo temple, Chao Say Tevoda, Tommanon before reaching to Angkor Thom city. There you will see, Terrace of Leper King, Terrace of Elephant, Baphoun, Phimean Akas. Stop at Bayon temple and start the visit (45 minutes-1 hour). Angkor Thom built by Cambodia’s great king, Jayavarman VII. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 12: Banteay Srei and River of Thousand Lingas (90km)

Depart from the hotel on the main road. Arrive at Angkor Wat and turn left to the west. Continue to cycle 2km before turn right to the rural road. The road is good for cycling as you can avoid the busy traffic but you can see rice field, village, pagoda. Arrive in Banteay Srei before lunch. Visit (45 minutes) Banteay Srei temple known as women citadel (built in 967 A.D dedicated to Brahma). While some of temple are impressive because of their sheer size, Banteay Srei stands alone in the quality of its construction and decoration. Its pink sandstone walls are decorated with what some consider the best carving of all, and still an excellent state of preservation.

Continue biking to visit Kbal Spean, the River of Thousands Lingas, lying under the river bed, people believe it brings fertility and blessing Angkor area as the river flows to Siem Reap. Walk 1,200meters to visit the Lingas and enjoy lunch and the water fall. On the way back, cycle on the main road to visit Landmine Museum of Mr. Akira. Mr. Ra is dedicated to clearing the Cambodian countryside of landmines laid during the years of conflict and relies entirely on visitors’ donation to fund his work. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 13: Rolous Group & Tonle Sap Lake (50km)

Depart from the hotel, crossing the bridge at Old Market to cycle 15km toward Rolous Group. The first 2km, is on the tarmac road toward the bus station. Then, passing the rice field and the village. Rolous Group was the first capital of Angkor Empire during 800 A.D. Visit the Pre-Angkorian temples including Preak Ko, Bakong and Lo Lei. Afternoon, cycling to Tonle Sap Lake. Turn left at the crocodiles farm crossing the bridge. Then cycle on small road along the river through villages, pagodas and schools. This road is good for cycling as to avoid the busy traffic. After cycling 8km, turn right across the bridge to the main road as there is no further access on the small road. Continue cycling toward the hill about 3km (July-December) where the boat stop. (Note: January-June, the water is low and the boat will stop further 3km). Board on the boat to visit the floating village, floating school, fishing farm. After 1 hour boat drive. Return the Siem Reap on the main road to avoid cycling the same road.

Day 14: Siem Reap- Krong Stueng Saen  

Breakfast at the hotel and departure by private car with tour guide to Kampong Thom, arrival in Kampong Thom, we will cycling to visit Sambor Prei Kuk’s temples, certainly the most beautiful examples of the art PreAngkorian of the VIIth century, then, departure to Siem Reap for about 3 hours to arrive in Siem Reap, near Angkor. and cycling around town. Overnight on Sambor Village Hotel

Day 15: Krong Stueng Saen – Phnom Penh  (cycling in Phnom Penh)  

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer by private car with tour guide to Phnom Penh, arrival in Phnom Penh and we will cycling to visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha.

Day 16: PHNOM PENH (35 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today be guided through this bustling city to explore the main sights by bike, including Wat Phnom and Cheung Ek killing field. Phnom Penh has got more than 1 million population and the traffic has become very busy now. There is another option to visit the city by van. In the afternoon, visit the Independence Monument, Tuol Sleng Museum and Russian Market.
